What is Unity? Unity is a spiritual
movement, not a religious one. We welcome people
of all faiths and honor all expressions of Truth.
We believe that each of us is an expression of the divine
and as such, has unlimited potential which we are committed
to developing. We have the power to heal ourselves, and
the ability to lead joyful, loving and abundant lives.
We consider Jesus, the Christ, our primary teacher. We
believe he was the perfect expression of the divine idea
manifested.
We believe that truth is unlimited, and as such, it can
be found anywhere.
These are Unity’s 5 basic principles:
There is only one power that is everywhere present in the universe:
God, Absolute
Good.
We are divine beings. We carry the spark of divinity, the Christ spirit within
us.
We create everything in our lives through our thoughts, feelings and actions.
If we are not satisfied with what we have created, then we need to change our
thinking.
We do this through prayer and meditation. These activities strengthen our connection
to the divine, the Christ spirit within. As that connection grows, so does our
ability to bring more healing, more understanding, more joy more abundance, more
satisfaction and more love into our lives.
Understanding isn’t enough. We have to act on the truth that we know.
This
will bring even more good into our lives.
